Installation of In-Vehicle Video Recorder

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

Just collected my C200 2 weeks back and enjoying my ride!

I've also bought a in-vehicle recording unit, the Finevu CR300-HD, but I've yet to install it. I only intend to have it record traffic conditions while I'm driving, and don't require parking mode recording.

Just want to check with all those who have installed such video recorders in their mercs, do you simply connect the recorder to the 12V power outlet in the car, or do you tap the power source from the battery/fuse box?

For the latter type of installation, will it void CnC warranty?

Thanks for all advice!

Welcome!! Any mods is not from not See&See will void warranty. Usually is hook up to the battery source & the boys will purchase a power battery pack for blackvue models. As for Finevue the power battery pack is integrated in the systems rite?

Hi bro, I am using this cam. The power source is tapped to hide the wires.

Don't worry, this is an extremely small and with experienced technicians, a very safe mod. My SE even recommended two workshops when I collected my car.

You can go to Autospritze and look for Ah Boon. He's a trusted technician for many of the bros on the forum including myself.

Any bros using the Finevue CR300? Mind sharing some feedback? I'm considering this recorder as it seems pretty good.

I've got friends using the FInevue, and I've not heard of any complaints from them. BUT the finevue is quite large. Personally i prefer to have my field of vision unobstructed.

So which cam is considered good and reliable?

take a look at what the cab drivers use. considering how long they are in use daily, i would say the models they use surely can withstand use and abuse.

This is the Fineve CR 300HD. From the video samples, image pretty clear even during night (think video was set at the darkest mode). I think the promo ends on 20 May. Check with seller if you are keen.

I have reserved one for myself. :)
