I still considering. Because my company does not allow DVR inside, I need to remove n hide inside my car compartment when I reach the company area.

I m also concerned on the high temperature issue with the DVR after reading at sgcarforum.

It takes less than half a minute to remove the DVR.

My 2 pcs have been running for months without issue!

I am using a Class 4 32Gb Sandisk card. So far so good, no auto reboot.

Btw, my set now does not tell me it is shutting down whenever I switch it off.

Ya! Do a full format which could takes a few hrs for a 32gb MicroSd card

the voice can be enabled or disabled through the settings ... you may have accidentally turned it off after one of the formats

hey mate yup there's definitely space underneath the rear view mirror .., and will be hidden out of sight.

and no, will not suggest you install this in the engine bay or grills area! you can have the unit installed at Wee Heng and also you might want to consider upgrading your audio system since you're there too! Lol!
