Actually there is a discernable gap between the vent and the holder, it's not exactly blocked entirely.

Another location will be at e top right corner of e windscreen just below ur sunshade if it's not too 'beng' for u. TPMS reading at a glance. Wires will be concealed along e pillar.

Good on you that your Blackvue DR400 is still working well. I would recommend that you randomly check the video recordings because my lens is apparently fried due to the overheating issue. All captures from my set now are cloudy and blur beyond hope.
