Hi guys, just an update regarding the poor radio reception issue. After they take back the car the 2nd time, not sure they replaced the reverse cam unit or the wiring, but the radio is working properly now. No more interference.

Apparently the antenna is at the back windscreen and runs to the front to connect to the front audio20 unit, the reverse camera shares the same path to the front, this causing the interference if not done correctly.

Someone pmed asking me about this, his SE told him that conti cars normal to have poorer radio reception for Chinese channels and also the solar film affects it too.. LOL.. I told him about the reverse camera and hopefully they r going to fix it.

Another issue that I'm having is the passenger side mirrow when reverse it tilts down, but when back to park or drive mode it goes back up but not to the original position. It always just go back up a bit and stopped instead of all the way up to the original position. It's on and off but everything I have to re-adjust the mirror after reverse is just a bit annoying. Also sometimes u set different mirror position for driver 1, 2 and 3. But when I change from driver 1 to 2 the seat shifts but the mirror sometimes shift sometimes don't. Anyone else have similar issue with the side mirror?

Or it's just some settings that I didn't do properly :/

Anyone managed to get their COEs?

I booked my A180 at the end of July, but for the last 2 bids, C&C told me they failed to secure one for me.

Is that normal? I looked at the bids they submitted for me, and they were very much lower than the final COE price. At this rate, i'm not sure if I'm ever gonna get my car.

Is this normal?

They got mine at the 4th COE bid. For my case, they only started bidding after 1 month of signing (ie passed on 2 rounds) bcos my delivery was still a long time away.

CC has good reputation of securing COE bids for buyers to close the deal, not in the game of asking for top-ups or refund. So, can be patient & leave it in their good hands. You shld of course keep in regular contact with your SE to let him know you are on top of things, monitoring etc

Care to share what is the COE rebate level & expected delivery date ?

Hi Guys, I'm back to Merc again after a 4 years break, last Merc was a W204.

Bought a A180 Style Mountain Grey for my wife. Signed in late June, secured COE 1st bid in early July, and collected the car last weekend. I was told that car will arrive Aug/Sept and end up it arrived in early Aug. I was surprised that the whole process did not take so long and wondering why some of the guys here have to wait for months for their cars.

A picture of our humble ride :)

I noticed that the radio reception is quite poor, possibly due to the wirings of the reverse camera that you guys are talking about here. Have to go back and get it fixed soon :(

Hi A class owners, collected my ride a few weeks back and experienced the ABS activating a couple of time? Not sure if it is just me due to unfamiliarity of the vehicle or due to some bad traffic conditions or just my poor driving skills, coming from a previous Jap ride, it seems sometimes that the ABS is quite sensitive if you step on the brake slightly harder.

Congrats! Making any mods to the car? Like a bucket list?

Front grill, piggyback? 19" rims?

Side question - w204 is a better car. Why didn't just take her back compared to w176

Wa... you see parking lots can tell where it is?

Yup, Ghim Moh Temporary Hawker Centre

Guessing from the background ... the platform area, trees lining before the old railway, the stairs leading up the overhead bridge & the tall flats behind. Used to jog there.

Where you there buying durians ?? My wife say cannot buy else will stink up the new car's smell.

Anyways, there have been a couple of times while driving, I hear 2 beeps (sharp "tu" "tu") - cant figure out what that warning is ?

Also, today I noticed the passenger airbag signal lighted up (below the hazrd light button). After breakfast, drive back, the signal no longer lighted. Wonder if this is normal ?

Is it the collision sensor in front? U can see the sensors bar light up follow by sound behind the audio 20 screen.

Yeh, experienced the 2 beeps too... When motorcyclist actually passed by quite near and parking near a pillar in the carpark..

Haha. We were there for breakfast and car park was empty, so took the chance to snap some shots.

I think the warning sound should be from the front sensors as well. Our car sounded when a motorcyclist was very near to us.

I thought the yellow passenger air bag light is permanently on? That's what our SE told us.
