Whenever possible, get the largest displacement engine that you can afford.

Eh.... C63 out of range but if got lots of moola which guy doesn't want.

Was initially looking at C-class coupe but if having children in the coming few years will be troublesome, my CC is a 4 seater now so looking for a normal sedan with 5 seater.

Bigger displacement is better but is it worth the extra 20K to 40K for 30 more ponies...

Discount nothing much... Overtrade is 4K and SC is 2K

it really depends on yourself, if 30 ponies is meaningful to u. if u drive less than 2,500rpm consistently, the kompressor model may work better for u. if u like a spirited drive, u may find your ride sort of 'out of breath' early.

not sure what C&C does now, but I vaguely remember there is some interior/exterior differences between the C180K and CGI series

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Hi all, currently driving a VW Passat CC 1.8tsi. Looking to change to a C-class and have 3 models in mind.

C180 7G-Tronic 1.6 Turbo (New engine to arrive in August)

C180 7G-Tronic 1.8

C200 7G-Tronic

Thanks for the input. :D

C180 1.6 will come with 7G-Tronic and a new engine in August?? I am still waiting for my ride and a new spec comes along... :(

I'm only looking at the CGI series only and I prefer the car to have the power to overtake hoggers easily...

News just release to SA like 2-3 weeks ago, heard a test drive car will be available during July.

Hi bro, I was driving a VW previously, welcome to the "bright" side. There are many Audi, VW converts here. Lol

As usual, buy whatever your pocket allows. Comfort and brand prestige is a notch up compared to VW, but u have to lower your expectations in terms of power and drivability. There's always a trade-off unless moolah is unlimited...

The new 1.6 turbo will be a tiny tad faster (negligible) than the current 1.8 CGI due to the 7G gearbox. But having said that, I believe the 1.6 is maxed out or very mod potential Liao. If ur thinking of modding ur ride. The 1.8 CGI is the way to go. If u intend to stay stock, save ur $20 grand

A good compromise is the C180 7gtronic. Alternatively, get the 1.6L turbo if it comes with 7gtronic and up options with ILS. The must have is the 7gtronic.

Sala lah, I am never a FC king. In fact, I secretly wished that the petrol will sell at more than $2.50 a litre so that some cars will be taken out of the road.
