Am thinking of giving my 4 yrs old W203 some new "life". Everything is stock now.

thinking of doing these :

Sports Grille 3 Fins - Black

Arrow Type LED Side Mirror Covers

ODB tuning

DRL

Any recommendation on workshop that I can get all these done ?

Any other mod to recommend ? Seems like W203 is "aged" liao, not much mod for it anymore. so sad.

Blacked out grill looks mean! :)

In case you're interested, the front bumper is a Rieger style.

have.

tuning improves the fuel-air ratio by making it run leaner so less oil but even more power.

you want economy/response, for low cost option try sprintbooster/ 3 drive? can set somemore.

or if you wanna do up performance then lup a kleemann k1 or k2 kit down!

decat too

wow so "chimp" for the tuning.

what is sprintbooster/ 3 drive ? How much is this ?

understand Kleeman kit is over $3k ! Is this the one for more horse ?

on the ODB tuning website, they claim less than $2k and also not intrusive etc etc.

Hey bro,

I fitted a 3-fin grille to my W203 and do note that the after market (there is no original) grille is quite flimsy. When u (or the mechanic) open the hood, u have to take care not to push the grille or it may break as it does not have an external frame to support it. I have to grab the right side of the hood to open it normally.

Any one who have changed to the 3-fin grille share the same experience?

Its very chio and do indeed update the look. The black ones makes it look like the old CLS and the silver version makes it look like the W204s.

Maybe the remaining W203s in our grounp can have our meet up to share some mods or DIY tips :-)

Give it more life, here my 2 cents, mainly for the looks only :-

1) Respray or to yr fav color

2) Lowered the car or change to coilover

3) facelift to new W204 look

4) get a full bodykit, by now the price shld drop drastically. if possible replaces the side mirror to those sporty design, the steering wheel with paddle shift and the grille too.

5) change all the light interior & exterior to white except the orange signal light

6) xenon or HID yr front head light

7) get a new set of leather seat, give yr car the brandnew feel again, better than falling in love again is priceless

8) carbon fibre yr interior trimming

9) upgrade to command or install new ICE system - in car entertainment with karaoke, GPS, tv, camera, bluetooth,3D features with touch screen function.

10) yes the final touch - super 18" or 19" chio rims with new BBK.

After you had done all that, time to change a new car :)

ODB smsed me. Say can reflash for $900+ i believe.

but not worth it because very limited gains with our ECU.

Not a professional tuning. If you wanna spend 900 i rather you go unichip and get it road/dyno tuned by a tuner himself.

Sprintbooster has 2 versions (old is non-adjustable for response, new is adjustable)

$390 i think? Check with MBM

3 Drive is cheaper. Can get for $250 but probably taiwan/china made. but good thing is got LCD screen and much much more adjustability. U can change the throttle response such that it lurges in front and flies when u step just a little bit. Or use econ mode and save fuel by limiting the throttle response.

Kleemann is good stuff there.

Problem with W204 (I believe W203 too) is that its Siemens ECU is still not-cracked even now. So Kleemann has used a K-box piggyback to trick the stock ECU to overcome the MAF and AFR problems.

for my W203, i have changed the grille, flat emblem. I have changed to a projection light with angel eyes and DRL. Plan to change the back brake light to the "S-class" type with LED.

hi spidy. i bought my 3 finned ones at about $250. The 4 finned ones should be slight cheaper by abt $20 ba. I bought my depo projectors headlamps at about $540. rough guide. not sure where to get them in Singapore though.
