Herbie, maybe you may want to send your ride to CNC, they will change everything including things you tell them not to...lol....

Chill lar....most workshop will do their due diligence to help owner save...

Spoon feeding teaches you nothing....but the shape of the spoon...

Herbie, you may wanna to visit Auto Spritze;

One of my friends have been getting them to change ATF during his every servicing,

YES, with every oil change and they do it for him :)

Not that the atf oil is not good or what; just personal preference...

i was told by C&C Service Advisor that ATF is changed at 60k..

Yup, stated in their service guide also. Quoted approx $2.4k+ for the whole 60k package. In the end did basic lubrication with C&C and the rest with Chip Soon. Saved 50% :)

Hi all,

I am due to do my 60k servicing (says B1 service on the screen). Just wondering if anyone can point me to the list of items that needs to be done. I was thinking of not going back to CnC to do this time...

Basically I am thinking of going back there to do a basic lubricant servicing and do the rest of the required changes by getting OEM hardware from stockist and getting an outside workshop to do the necessary...

Thanks in advance!

Morning Guys,

Just to share my recent experience with my car for servicing.

As I am new to my W211, send in for servicing (147,000KM).

Damage : $350

- service

- rear brake pads and sensor

- 1 pc cap to replaced damaged cap

- labour

Separately would the gurus recommend servicing outside C&C during the first 3 years warranty?

Cos I think they are overpriced and crap.

I am no gulu or buah duku! :)

CnC do all my engine oil/oil filter changes, air con servicing and engine flush during warranty period with service credits

My brake rotors, pads (byo), transmission oil change (60k km), brake oil change (30k km), spark plugs change(60k km), air filter (byo), windscreen wipers (byo) at outside "trusted" workshop.

Please PM me workshop details also.

My W204 engine sounds like a diesel taxi recently and 7G gearbox vibrates occasionally when trying to accelerate. Brought in for a check at CnC this morning and was told that this was due to the mounting of the engine and gearbox worn off. Repair cost will be $900. What to check if I can do it cheaper outside.

Mr. Lee,

1) & 4) ----servicing, routine wear & tear lah!

3) seems that 2009 model - a few guys including Norman and camber53 replaced their alternator

Hope you do not have weak charging or longer cranking to start car! :)

2) & 5) rare but do happen!

Cheers

Depends on how much was the mileage when you bought and the condition of the car… the wear and tear services in #1, #2 and #4 are normal. I do some of these as well in my 4 year old car.

Worrying thing is #3 and #5. Perhaps these are the first generation model problem, as I think 2009 W212 are the first batch of W212. BTW, what is "Green key" servicing?

It's not a servicing! It's a problem - cannot start your car!
