Mercedes Concept Style Coupe previews the baby CLS

Rumors regarding the all new baby CLS has been circulating online for quite some time. The Concept Style Coupe (CSC) is said to be slightly larger than the current C-Class and borrows design elements from the F 800 Style Concept and the A-Class concept.

Certain design details such as the sexy side mirrors and the 21-inch five-spoke wheels probably won’t make it to the production model. The CSC shares the new MFA platform with the newly launched A-Class. The CSC is reported to measure 4,634mm, making it about 80mm shorter than its targeted rival, the Audi A5 Sportback.

According to the leaked information, the Concept Style Coupe is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 205hp. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The production model is expected to carry a range of petrol turbocharged engines from the A-Class with capacity ranging from 1.6-lire to 2.0-litre. The A-Class can be specified with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and the baby CLS will most likely follow suit.

The production-specced CSC will be making its debut this fall at the Paris Motor Show.
