Anyone know how much will the tire shops offer?

A friend told me that used OEM rim is essentially worthless.

BTW, rims have rashes as well.

Itching to change to 18" rims.

They're certainly not worthless. MB OEM wheels are manufactured by Borbet, which also contract manufactures for VW, BMW.

Be selective over your next set of 18" wheels. Take note of the weight and finish quality as compared to your OEM wheels. Not every wheel is created equal.

Ok back to this topic again.... i'm thinking to trade in my new 17inch OEM rim on the same day after collection? How much i can fetch and any recommended tyre shop (address) for best deal?

One of our sponsors, Top93, gave me a very good *trade-in* price for my OE rims. BL, Pitstop and LS also gave me very good numbers. I didn't go down to Southeast, but I've heard good things too through friends, colleagues and of course, forum-trolling. Of course, the more you drive around, the less the *trade-in* $ will be. So go talk to them before your ride comes so you can do a day 1 swap.

Also, 18s are good, but at least take a look at the 19s. Visually, very big difference.

Does anyone know if the Stock avantgarde 17" rims are indeed lighter than even some off market rims?

I was told by my mechanic that the stock rims are actually of pretty good standards.
