mate, care to share your experience going from 184bhp + 5speed to 156bhp + 7 speed? :becky:

Well several + points listed below:-

1. Interior is so much better in term of estactic in the FL version.

2. The "Jerkiness" disappear

3. The gear shift is smooth but the turbo pull is still sluggish compare

to pre FL.

4. Rear LED module is much nicer than the pre FL.

5. Still think that not worth the extra S$20k to bump 156bhp to 184bhp.

-ve point listed below :-

1. The New Beember 328 with 240 ponies is my latest wet dream will be

appearing in Feb 2012. Hope tonight kena Toto $ 1.5M - get one GLK, 328 and evogue.. hahahaha

Love the MX-5 and the W204 to the max! 2 years with the W204 and the car still look great! Both cars with very different characteristics but loving both.

2007-2009 Subaru Impreza 1.6TS

2009-2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (love it to the max but too suped-up for urban driving)

2011 - W204 (was looking at beemer 3 series, Audi A4 and the VW Jetta, the C-class still looks best for its interior and exterior)

2008 - Suzuki Swift (2nd Car) Wife still driving it

2008 - Peugeot 207 1.4 vive

2009 - VW Golf GTI mk5

2012 - Merc C180K (Coming in Mar/Apr '12)

Best car to drive VW GTI, solid response and feedback. High torque and speed.

Worst car to drive Peugeot 207, the gearbox is a total letdown. New car but gearbox software failure at least once a month. Imagine got stuck in heavy traffic without gearbox control, and have to get car towed back to workshop multiple times. Maybe it is just that I brought a lemon. Sold it within a year.

Have not got my Merc yet, so cannot comment.

@Wishbone

Just a thought from me.

When you get the C180K, just enjoy the ride very stable compared to the VW, but don't go comparing power with the GTI and fuel efficiency esp. if you thought you dropped from a 2L to a 1.6L.

I already know that during the test drive, initially not used to the linear power delivery of the mercs because I am used to the power on demand surge of the GTI. After the test drive, when my SE asked me how I felt about the car, my answer to him is the car is underpowered. But I guess this statement is not fair because mentally I am comparing the C to the GTI. I love the sudden surge of the GTI, makes me feel the joy of driving. For the C, I guess I will need some time to enjoy a more refine and relax driving. I really don't know whether I will like it, but I am sure my wife and kids will.
