Flashing Dashboard Lights, Replace Key,Key Teach-In in progress Message

Hello All

Wonder if any bros can help on this

Recently my W211 E230 have this problem

When I start engine, using stop/start button or key  all the dashboard lights will flash as per normal and then goes off.

But now, the lights keeps flashing for about 5 minutes on and off then not flashing anymore

Sometime it will show me Please Replace Key Message or Key Teach in In progress, please wait message

Have been driving it for the past 6 months without any issue

Until the power steering arm got a leak and I repair it,

After repairing it, the steering column sensor have problem, no matter how the mechanic reset it

The ESP light keeps coming up

Mechanic say this is common issue, ask me to replace the steering column sensor

After replacing it, no more ESP light warning

But now the dashboard lights keeps flashing on and off with Replace key, Key teach in in progress messge getting more often

Have been to the mechanic to reset the ECU once, but after one week , flashing/message appear again

Car still drive well, but I just afraid this issue will lead to more issues later if I do not fix it

I wonder if any bros have this issue before and how to resolve it

Thanks in advance, snapshots as show below

Hi Bro

Ah Bui had previously posted about resetting the smart key... http://www.sgmerc.com/topic/17669-car-keys-not-working-resetting-key/

Maybe you can try and see if it solves the issue?

Tried Bro Ah Bui method to reset the smart key, but no successful, dashboard still flashing so are the replace keym teaching key  message still appearing

Strange thing is that  the car still driving well, no jerking, no other issues at all, except this irritating flashing lights on the dashboard

Any bros here go a workshop that is good with Merc electronics ?

Please recommend, thanks in advance
