My experience with the One Fin Grill on eBAY seller - Jakuo

Dear SGMERC members...

I would like to share with all of you an experience I had with my recent purchase on eBAY, through this seller - Jakuo. I had installed the grill but to my surprise, there are 2 gaps at the top corner between the bonnet and the grill. This made both the bonnet and grill looks weird.

Do take some time to look at the picture in the listing. The grill is suppose to be fitted nicely without any gap.

As I purchased through PayPal, I lodge a compliant to them using the resolution centre and the seller, Jakuo got back to me and gave me 2 options, to choose another product or a refund. I chose the later and I was given a full refund to my PayPal account which was then credited to my credit card.

I think if any of the members here are facing the same issue, you should do the same as me.

Just my thoughts for those who probably think that they cannot do anything about it.

Thanks for sharing & glad that you got back a full refund. Anyway this is known issue that there will a slight protuding for this model on C class.. Then again, the degree of acceptance is by individual. Did jakuo ask u to send back the item before refund :).

You are lucky that the seller willingly to refund. I had a bad experience with a seller for my landy accesories. Upon receipt the parts & found fitments issue. Immediately inform the seller & they claims that will resend a new set. But they deliberately delay the shipment for more than 45 days from the purchase day. Once this period is over u cant launch any claims against them. Ebay also cant be bothered after this period of time too. So, next time if u encounter such issue, give the seller a week time to response if no news from them dont wait, just launch a complains.

Bro, did you get a professional to install for you? I encountered similar issue with my C63 grill that I got from Hannson awhile back. When I tried to DIY it, it wouldn't fit properly unlike my previous SL style grill, which I also DIY and slots in nicely. I complained to Hannson but I went to a workshop for a professional opinion. In the end, it was my own lousy DIY skills that was the problem. The new C63 grill is just very tight and hard to fit. I think Bros here who have gotten the grill from Hannson or Tech55 would agree. I did post this issue up some time back before the forum was revamped.

Thanks for the feedback bro....i had also added this seller to my list but haven't buy yet because my ride isn't here.

Shortlisted the grill and CF side-mirror covers from eBay...if bought the covers will update and feedback on the fitment as well. =)

i bought from this seller too.it takes only 3 days to reach my shop. btw although the seller from canada the grill is made and sent from taiwan .for my W207 it fit perfect, just becareful with the clip it breaks easily.

Hi Bro... Thank you for your kind post. No, he did not ask me to return the item, which is surprising for me actually. I am just lucky I think. I just hope that other brothers here know about this issue and my post might potentially help saved them a little. Cheers...

I went to Autospritze to get it fitted. Since you already got a refund and they don't require you to send the item back, might as well make the best of it and see if it really can be installed! Got nothing to lose. If its really a defect can just throw it away in the end.

It's call payPal Buyers Protection!

Not happy with your purchase after your emails with the seller - lodge a complaint at Paypal resolution centre.

I've non deliveries,, defective item & not as described, I usually gets refund from seller or replacement!

I've with PayPal for 12 years & purchased >800 times from >600 individual sellers.

BlackMercs is right that U must lodged a report before the 45 days from date of purchase to enjoy Paypal protection.

Your W204 is the FL version or pre-FL version. Wanna to get this grill also, but don't know whether will fit good in my W204 FL...

Both FL and pre-FL W204 have the same grill fitting.
