Pple,

I think many seems to have missed the original intend of this event.

Let me re-iterate

The event is a driving experience round sepang in your own car.

You do not need to go all out on your own car.

It is an opportunity to feel how it is like driving round a track.

Your car will not be what u saw in the mobil 1 simulator cuz your car performance is no way near the GT3 spec in the simulator and you can actually feel the car.

So pls dont think of renting a track car, it is way too complex for newbies. There are just too many factors to think abt & learn. Just like F1 license, it is not avail to commoners...

So let's support the event & bring your car down & have a safe & fun time round the track. This is what it is all abt.

Jeff, may I suggest that you or any other drivers with Sepang experience, give newbies to the track and orientation lap or two....

then sit with those who are uncertain to show lines and braking points.

and best is before the session, give a track orientation with the chart SIC has, and show where the run-offs area are, what to do when car stalls, goes into gravel, warm-down laps, passing on right/left, pit-lane speed, smoking areas, flag colors and meaning...etc...

Haha I wasn't interested in renting a track car at all! Don't even need to talk about track car, I probably can't even drive a normal manual car properly anymore! I've also seen some videos of amateur drivers driving track cars and their comments about the experience, apparently the suspension is so hard that your butt will probably end up bleeding if you track too long

eyke, we are exploring alternatives since the list is less than 30, as you've pointed out. There will be a track day and the date will still be in early June. However, in the interest of keeping costs reasonable we may use a different track - Jeff is in the process of checking this out. Please give us a few days to sort out the details, we will surely inform everyone when things are confirmed.

last but not least, per pax cost determine by how many participant. The track organiser charge us per 3 hour fees and not per person.
