Alright guys, i got a prob. the car engine seems to have become a bit more noisy now, esp in the morn. like more bassy. Plus, theres a squeaking sound coming from the fan belt. dont know wat it could be since i just changed the belt n belt tensioner a couple of moths ago.

the fan brlt got kena oil or not? cos kena oil the belt will become squeaky. as for the engine sound i have got to hear it... =)

It was perfectly fine until recently when the mech sprayed something on it. prob oil. dont know why though. I'll try to swing by your place one of these days then u can do a diagnosis.

wa not diagnose lah just take a look okay... not a mechanic so cannot use the word diagnose... it shld be oil i think. its cheap to replace the belt...

Maybe could do a electric fan implant from a BMW so that it would keep running, but at the same time not strain the alternator? Fuel Consumption would be better too!

I did my electric fan conversion sometime back. I am a happy camper The temperature always stay below 80C even when I am stuck in bad CTE jams.

too low a temp is not very healthy. it shld be 80 Deg C or abit more than the 80 Deg C mark

the 16 valves fan clutch plus fan blade cost ard 110-120 like that ur Aux fan oso like dying soon leh not powerful enough

On a sidenote, i applaud u James for being really on abt repairing your car. I remember a time when i wanted to fix every single problem. Then too many probs started coming at one go.........

MAybe James would be able to fix everything then his car would really be in excellent condition man. As for me, i fix it as it breaks. my paint work been peeling for a whole year but still dont care cos the engine can run. now will have to paint cos starting to rust. Like wat bro 9339 said, it only becomes a prob when u feel that it is a prob. bad paintwork is fine with me. But rust isnt.
