Air Con Smell

Varero

Recommended Posts

Recently, when I turn on zircon, there is a foul smell for few seconds. My Beemer previously has the same issue n I got from BM forum was turn the aircon to the highest temperature (heater) n max fan speed. I tried for few days n the smell went away. I tried this on Merc but doesn't work.

Anyone has similar problem? Manage to rectify? Wat causes it?

This is a common issue for mercs. Ask yr SA to do a thorough cleaning on the air con system during the next servicing. Usually C class got this smelly air con, probably this particular installer didnt wash his/her hand.

Is true, change aircon filter and the smell is gone.

Easy to change, remove 3 screws, 2 metal clip and slide out.

first time I hear someone saying easy! Even the mech was complaining! Lol

Hi, i was trying to change the aircon cabin filter myself over the weekend.

However, i realised that the 3 screws is not a standard type.... is like a star shape?

Is this tool commonly available?

Anyone can advise?

Having the same problem and C&C SA advise to change the filter, may cost $100+ not too sure as I didn't get an actual quote.

What's the damage you guys pay for the filter ah?

Thanks bros for sharing.
