Question on vehicle book and reverse indicators

Hi guys, i just picked up my new C180 (w204 FL) from C&C...great car and loving it. No regrets switching from a beamer.

 

Got some questions and hoping you guys can help me out:

1) I can't seem to locate my vehicle log book. Do you guys know if owners are given one or is it with C&C?

2) Reverse indicators:

- when reverse gear is engaged, i can see from my rear view mirror the portion at the top of my rear windscreen...the arrows and numbers. Anyone can help interpret what the colours and numbers beside the arrows mean? Its driving me nuts.

Hi,

Log book as in vehicle ownership? If so there isn't one. Now all are electronic stored. If you do have loan the so call log card is with finance company.

The reverse sensor indicate the distance via the number display. What you see is the distance to the object/wall. If 60 is 60 cm from wall. Colour does that too.. red mean too near to object.

Personally i don like these sensor. Cannot really rely on tight spot.

1) log book are old school system so no longer given. Servicing infro are updated in the computer system.

2) those are indication of yr car distance from rear object. The lesser the nos and more red arrows means nearer to object.

Every MB including my latest C180 I bought from CnC includes the generic service booklet.

Every servicing, I bring along the service booklet to the SA who will fill up the mileage, oil use and service done, CnC chopped and SA signature.

The service record on-line is for CnC record but the owner has no access to it.

Every occasion the SE said no service booklet, told the SE the Owner Manual refer to a "Service Booklet" so better give me one!

Thanks guys for your inputs. I checked and while there is a manual, i see no service booklet. Ok, will call C&C.
