'Oily' Windscreen

giggss

Recommended Posts

Recently keep driving, once the rain / water touches the windscreen.. it gets 'stick' to the windscreen like it's oily.

even when driving at  higher speed, the rainwater does not form droplets and get blown away.

new ride , collected back in November from CnC.

Anyone having similar problem for new cars from CnC?

Seems like the windscreen is coated with oil when they shipped in..

i've tried applying those anti-rain solution.. applied a lot! It worked, but seems like I need to apply much more cos some part of the windscreen is still having 'oily' effect whenever it rains. damn irritating. I usually do not need to on my wipers on rainy days on my previous rides. :P

Try cleaning ur wipers with anti oil tissues or wet tissues it works for me.... As ur wipers do get filled with wipers or oil

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

thanks for your suggestion!

however, i think it's not the wiper blades. as I do wash the wipers whenever i wash my car too.. the problem is with the windscreen, and it has been like that since I collected in Nov. Maybe I shd try the anti-oil tissue on the windscreen ? lol

Nissan, Honda, Suzuki.. cos of very regular washing, all very clean and smooth.. when rain comes, the droplets will be 'blown' away from the windscreen... lol... of cos not during heavy rain :P

some folks don't like anti-rain solutions as it will cause the wipers to judder.

do a good soapy wash and perhaps polishing to see if it helps.

hmmm yeah, should try soapy wash.. have always been using wax wax and wax so far..

I'm having the same issue too. I used car shampon, dish washer still have the oil stain.

Switched wiper blade didn't help too.

Or try to use dry cloth and wipe see if that will remove anything?

1 sure way of removing anything from the Windscreen is to use those super fine sand paper, wrap round a piece of new scotch sponge (the harder type).....apply lots of soap onto the windscreen and clean with light pressure.....this should do the trick........I have done this many times......

Disclaimer: If you use too much pressure and your windscreen scratch or becomes paper thin....I cannot be held responsible in any way :)

Spoon feeding teaches you nothing....but the shape of the spoon...
