Tyre shop says I have Rims problem

It's Stamford at bukit batok. I was ushered to the waiting lounge for kopi. Told me the problem and showed me the bent while the wheel was spinning on his machine. Will go for second opinion.

No 16" rims set from Stamford. Only got 17" set, at $640. But 4 tyres and rims is $2.5k.

I suspect that it is one of their tactics. They showed me the bent on the wheel too. I had suspected that they "created" the bent. But I have no prove. And given that the bent has been "created", LL have to change liao lor. But I won't go back to them again ... That is for sure.

Go south east @ kaki bukit. Slight dent they can knock it back one. Maybe ard $100 would settle ur problem.

Btw, this relates to one of the rear wheel. If I don't chiong NSHW, what bad things will happen if I leave this wheel unbalanced.

No need cheong NS driving with unbalance rim many things will happens. Like tyre wear out at inner or outer side etc. just get it changed as that is the only four contact points on the road. Get a set of rims which wont cost you much after trade in.

That's bad advice. Knocking a already warped rim and reusing it? That's asking for trouble!

Most will say stock rims are almost close to worthless, what they want are the tyres.

By the way, find that Ray-S price is getting higher...compared to 2-3 years ago...and not as helpful too...will just spend 3-4 mins with you when he sense that you are not ready to buy his rims.

Thanks Archangel01, I went to south east at kaki bukit. One of rim is really warped. Sent in for rim repair. They are good, they loan me a spare rim since I don't have spare tyre. Very grateful, Collecting next Tues, hope all will go well. Well keep you good guys updated.
