W213 E250 2017 brake sound when coming to full stop
Hello Lim! I have this same experience! I just bought a new E200. I suspect it’s the same thumping sound you mentioned when braking to a stop or moving off from a braked position. CnC said it’s usual for all Mercedes. But the technical advisor did opined that this thumping sound is much softer when it’s hot! Meaning brakes hot and car hot! And it’s true. The thumping sound becomes much softer when I drive a long while in morning (at least 30 mins) or in the afternoon when weather is hot. Really amazing this sound becomes much softer. -

Thumping sound upon braking to stop
I drive a new E200. I hear a thumping sound each time the car comes to a braking stop (after I braked) or when I step off from a brake situation. It’s more serious in the former situation. I asked CnC technical advisor and he said it’s a normal sound for all Mercedes. However he did say that this thumping sound is much softer when it’s hot - including brakes. And it seems that this is true! When I drive the car for at least 30 mins in morning or in the middle of the day or hot afternoon, the “sound” disappears to bare audible level. Strange. Any one with similar experience?
