I told them don't need to top up but in the end they still top up and I need to pay 7 bucks plus GST.

Talk useless, must write black n white

If you don't like their window washer liquid, remember to tell them don't top up. For my first servicing, C&C charged me >$7 for the top-up. Damn...

My current milleage is about 11k and due for servicing in about 4k more. As i will be heading to Malacca 1st week august, should i do my servcing first for safety reason, meaning to say do before 15k, or do after my malacca trip?

Any advise?

Dont think you can clock 4k in 2 weeks, including Melaka trip?

I think plus minus 1k to 2k, or 1month from scheduled servicing is ok

Not really about clocking the milleage but on safety.

Remember in the past, the old folks always say - do your servicing before driving up to NSHW to prevent breakdown....

But nowaday, with the advance technology of the cars, not sure still need to practise that or not...

Sorry a qn...I always been told new engine when first run in always will have these "metal" pieces and other debris in the oil therefore it is recommended to replace the oil in the first 1k den subsequent 10k. But why continental car do not have such practise?

If its true i guess i better service the car at 10k for first servicing den subsquently 15k after

Modern technology has enabled engine manufacturing tolerances to be made much higher but as a precautionary measure, owners are still tasked to go easy on the engine during initial run in period.

Every car manufacturer have pre-determined intervals for servicing. Beware of things like "lifetime fluid" because that is utter tripe.

10k - 15k, these are all guide numbers. Our humidity, hot temps and frequent stoppages at traffic intersections are catalysts for engine oil degradation.

Bro Genesis what ride u driving. 390 bucks is very cheap. Mine got carroted by C&C

Just did my 1st servicing after 1 year with a mileage of 13k, total cost is about $390/- including engine bay wash and washer liquid. I actually like the washer liquid as i used it to prevent my wiper judder.

Fully agreed with this point and that's the reason why I service my rides every 6 months or 10K km whichever come first! :)

Servicing at CnC is "expensive" but for me I just wanna keep the service records of my ride.

Each servicing I will bring along the car servicing booklet, let the SA filled it & stamped on it.

Cheers
