Ran over a big pothole!!!

Recommended Posts

Spore LTA very slow at doing their daily normal work but when handling public complaint, they react very fast.

Yesterday traveling home after work for more than 17 hours, saw a FOD on SLE But too late to change lane or E-stop.

When reach home, straight away check my DRL and left side tyres and body. And call LTA hotline to inform them to remove the FOD.

This morning check again for tyres pressure.

Our expressway suddenly become a dangerous place for our expensive cars with bigger than normal potholes and significant larger FOD

Bro, FOD, just curious, are you in the Aviation Industry?

U r lucky bro HYM, small potholes u see.

From my house to SLE to TPE to my work, I often see big potholes on third lane

And these potholes always at the same previous spot. Too many overloaded giant lorries on expressway. Wonder where r all those high paid TP when we need them

i counted 6 different road surfaces just heading to MBS via ECP from Bedok direction. too many sudden humps and small potholes to keep count. also, i think they made it into a built-in safety feature for KPE - any faster than 80km/h and you will feel like puking from the bumpy road.

Must be blue in colour? Black can or not? but if tight, then will the little boys have room to breathe?

would going commando be better?

For you, I suggest these. Feels a bit odd initially but no different from flossing your teeth once u get used to it.

Ok I got the car back from the mechanic. According to my wife they hoisted the car up and checked the undercarriage and wheels. They then took it for a test drive. They identified the damaged part as the wheel bearing. The rims were ok. Everything else seemed ok.

A replacement for the wheel bearing was done and we collected the car at 5pm.

I took it for a short drive after work and it seems back to normal now. Just a little 'scratchy' feeling at 30km/h but otherwise back to original shape.

I hope it stays ok... fingers crossed for next few weeks.

I must say the merc rims are dam power man... i would have thought they would be the first to be damaged.

thanks everyone for all the suggestions and recommendations!

I'm yet to hear from LTA though in reply to my demand for compensation... haha.
