Car IU spoilt

Car only 2 weeks old, IU spoilt already. Insert the cash card, got no sound, cannot read. Tried another nets flash pay card also the same. Nothing appear on the IU and no sound.

Got to send for inspection... Sian.

Don't be sian bro, it happens sometimes..IU is small issue, they can always change a new one for u. As long as car is fine! Cheers!

Just get it changed, it's under warranty for 5years iirc and you get 1 to 1 exchange and installation on the spot.

The IU on my old car also broke down, but that was after years of use. Went down to any LTA inspection center and they'll replace it on the spot after doing some checks. Just a short 5-10mins job. Lucky it happened one week before the 5-year warranty ran out. Didn't have to pay a cent.

IIRC i PCC then went to WC. After WC then proceed to TCC before sent it to VICOM let the techician look look see see.

My car IU breakdown 5 times in less than 2.5 years. Its a brand new car!!!

Vicom say C Class always hv suh problem blau blau blau....Power supply tap from wrong source, so they retap from another source...still breakdown.....

Then say the previous IU model no good, so change latest slim model...still breakdown.

At the Six Time.....i pray ...so far so good.....that was only few months ago and counting...

I hv search and realise one bro here also breakdown 6 times...

I dont want to break any record....

Have to tear it out slowly, It's the 2 clear double sided tape that is the killer.

If you are having the latest model "slim" type, they only remove the IU itself without removal the plastic backet.So no issue on the solar film

I find it strange that the IU should even be under the car owner's responsibility at all. It's neither made by the car manufacturer nor installed by us. We have no visibility on the maintenance of this device beyond properly slotting in/out a cashcard. So in the event it is broken (beyond the warranty period), how is it we have to pay for any repair/replacement unless the unit was tampered with? Furthermore we don't have a choice not to repair it.

Mine is the slim type, glad to hear that can remove from bracket, otherwise more headache
