Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Virgin post from me :)

I had recently bought a W211 , yet to collect, but the firat thing I will be doing will be to change the Walnut Panels. I did contacted Robson Design on the CF wrap, but its off my budget by quite a fair bit.

Just to check with you guys if there are any other alternatives to do so? Sticker or ???

Thnaks guys :D

Barney recommended JJ Decal. Worth exploring too.

I was also recommended JJ Decal to cover the interior trims too. Have not checked them out though.

Please don't get so excited about JJ Decal. Like I mention he is honest and responsible. If you look at my album, I'm already looking to change my grill. Have a look at my grill b4 you jump please. To better understand me, would like to mention that I'm quite an anal guy.

Can be removed and sprayed to preferred colour. Another option for you.

I've already explored this option. C & C will not dismantle it for you. Ask around (limited resources) and no one wants to take out the trims.

Jes, What happened to your grill? Is it because the grill is at the exterior of the car, therefore higher wear and tear? I think your interior panelling was rather well done...

Please update here when you get yours done on which way is the best bang for the buck, spray or sticker?

Considering doing silver trim for my interiors as well. :)

If you guys plan to do the sticker thingy sticks to 3m brand only. Do compare the pricing of a spray job vs sticker if not planning to DIY. Btw u still can drive yr car while all the interior trim is being removed.

Here is my previous DIY job on my e cabrio

Like I mentioned I'm a fastidious person. Because the grille is attached to the car, there are certain angles he finds it difficult to stick the 3M. He's a responsible guy so there are no issues going back to him to rectify any niggling problems. It's just me kwah liao buay song.

nice blackmercs, can share your kangtao to take out the trims

What you plan to do? Sticker or spray? Both methods u can ask sticker / paint workshop guy to pry it out for u. U got any audio workshop kaki? They can do the job for u too damage shld less than $50.
