I was considering CSII as one of my sealant choice as my wife car was on CSII, i must say the shine and protection level is great.

However, after reading up and doing a little bit of research (that is, asking around lah). I got to know that CSII may not be suitable for the newer Mercedes which are using high tech nano paint. That is the reason why I shortlisted to either Mercedes in-house sealant or diamondbrite as both are nano sealant and comparable to Mercedes nano clearcoat. I might be wrong hor, please correct me if you see fit..

A check through Mercedes webby indicates Mercedes-Benz paintwork has a scratch-resistant clearcoat using tiny ceramic nano-particles, each less than a millionth of a millimetre in size. The microscopic ceramic particles float around freely at first in the liquid clearcoat, before cross-linking as the drying process takes effect. The particles link in with one another in such a way as to create an extremely dense and smoothly structured network that is considerably more scratch-resistant than conventional paintwork.

CS-II Paint Sealant is designed to chemically bond to paintwork. For this reason they need to be applied directly to bare paintwork. If applied over a clearcoat, they will not bond and will only break down and disintegrate. So, to go with CSII, the existing Mercedes high tech nano clearcoat need to be removed completely to bare paint in order to apply effectively. The question is, would you want that???

Recently I was doing sealant research for the paint protection too after my 1st coat of nano sealant effect deteriorated.

In the end decided to trust the bro Joe Zaino detailing

Me also follow Bro Wishbone and done a Diamondbrite coat on my ride. Really pleased with it.

Ive tried both.... imho, diamondbrite is still much better. you do pay for what you get.

Simi difference? Coz i dying to find out too. By waxing can protect the paint job? What about sealant?? How do you know that the wax or sealant has wear out? There are many products in the market that claims this & that but do they really works? Till now, no answer all NATO only!!

Haha bro Blackmercs, your protection in your white lady is DIY. Mine is lazy way out

For my nano, is pretty clear cut, because I wash car once a month and park under tree for a week, there r deep water marks on my bonnet which I can't wash out. On top of that, the shiny surface after washing is not there anymore.

That why I whatsapp you n ask about your car paint protection that day. Must salute your DIY way to take care of your car

Arshavin bru, I thought u found the truth about waxing & sealant. So weekly simple wash is a must be it any brand of sealant!! Agreed?

And the only time I can have slot to wash that car is midnight for these weekdays
