Hi all,

Feeler to sell the above mentioned with 235/35/19 for front and 255/30/19 for rear tyres. I'm sorry but I do not know the offset etc. Travelled <200km. Reason is because I find too big for my modest C class. Willing to let go everything at $3500. Can contact me at 82000159. Thanks. Front 19" 8.5j et 45 and rear 19" 9.5j et 48.

Items traded in. Thread closed

  • 2 weeks later...

these vertini's are beautiful but don't fit c class. rubbing issues and not flushed.

I couldn't believe i m reading this!! Such a honest guy u are, i salute u bro. Here is a few options did you try it out?

1) Rubbing due to yr rear? If yes, did you try roll rear fender?

2) go back to the rims shop to swap the rear to front setup?

3) what is yr tyres size setup for yr ride?

Yes, this is a beautiful rims & fits yr ride with a red sticker at the trim.

This is mine setup - C coupe

Front 225 x 35 x 19

width 8.5"

offset 45mm

Rear 255 x 30 x 19 - 9.5

width 9.5"

offset 47mm

strange only 2 diff between your setup and mine. my front tyres were 235/35 no problem there. my rear offsets were 48. initially tire shop gave me 265/35 for rear and confirm rubbing issues. had to order from tire rack 255/30. although it was better, it still rubbed a wee bit. for peace of mine i downgraded to 18" amg. didn't try rolling.

Yr tyres setup is weird!! Care to share the workshop name? Go back & swap the correct tyres size setup & DE-staggered!! Get the rear rims size same the front. I m sure everything will be resolved. Good luck, come to gtg i want to shake yr hand :)

Hi all,

Fortunately or unfortunately for me, I am experiencing the problems which bro JES had encountered..rear tire rubbing, after having installed for more than a month now.

I usually do not have full load (3 Adults at rear seats) but it came just this week. To cut the story short, having an offset of 48 (with 265/30/19 tires) for the rear is definitely not the right set up for C-Class, though I was given "confirm, guarantee no problem" at point of purchase.

Went to the shop today and was given full of irresponsible and unreliable comments. I learnt the true colors of the merchant, painfully...

The objective for this message:

With all due respect, the admin team is doing a great job for all. Big CHEERS!

I sincerely do not want other new members to experience similar painful and expensive ( at least to me) encounter.

Thus, I humbly urge the admin to scrutinise such merchants (site sponsors) in our forum for the sake of future new members, like myself.

Yours truly..

Yes bro, real shitty encounter.

Thanks blackmercs for the recommendation.

Front is 235/35/19 (offset 45) and rear 265/30/19 (offset 48)

There are solutions to the situation. Just thought what happened was not a solution for us as consumers..

The purpose to highlight is just so that new members would not step on the same s@ ...

i actually went down to them again last week when i was considering the swap to 18s. Luckily our members usually ask for lobangs before they dig into their wallets.

The intention of Botak and myself is to educate future buyers from falling into the same trap as us. Know your products before purchasing them. Do not take the merchants word for it. Top 93 assured me that it will fit my c class with no rubbing issues and wheels will be flushed with the fenders. Naive enough to believe them.

Hi botak

Care to share yr front & rear tire size setup? Did u lowered yr ride? Look for Ah lye at AMK for rubbing issue on the rear.

As mentioned before, I changed my rear tires from 265/35/19 to 255/30/19 (had to top up difference myself) but it still rubbed. Sure problem can be easily solved by rolling your fender but the merchant should not mislead us into thinking it will be a direct fit.

The rubbing is due to the felt or rubber thingy not the fender. Remove this felt / rubber will able to resolve the rubba issue.
