Baby-seat in front passenger seat

mercyme

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm new here. Just got a 1.5 years C180 CGI and loving the ride.

Have a question, can I put my baby-seat in the front passenger seat and how do I disable the airbag?

Been trying to search the forum on this topic and not able to find..

If anyone can enlighten... appreciate!

It can't be deactivated. Better put the baby seat behind for safety.

Check yr car whether hv automatic child seat recognition feature or not, if WITHOUT is indicated by a special sticker. For new model that comes with this function "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" will light up once detected a baby seat is plug in. Its can be found right below the hazel light button.

The new FL has the indicator right in the middle of the central console. You could check if you have the same indicator on yours.

Only dedicated child seat will auto deactivate the front airbag, if I am not wrong. So it's not just any child seat will work. It's always safer to have seat placed behind, and face rear if it's an infant seat.
