Roughly how much is the C&C 60K servicing? I'm due for mine too. Am thinking of going to C&C. Was also thinking of fixing some repair issues at the same time while I still have the warranty.

One of the problems I've experienced recently is this 'yeeeee' sound when I accelerate. Not very loud but it's audible (and obviously quite irritating). Not sure what's the problem.

C&C ranges from 3-5K depending on Models for a 60K service. Choice of service is really up to owner. normally outside workshop is 50% cheaper.

60k is $1800 & the eeee sound is likely from yr brake system like brake pad, rotor. So Is time to get it changed.

If yr ride no more warranty consult our site sponsor for advise.

How come replacement of rotor is considered wear n tear? Even if we use stock brake pad? I notice that my front rotors are beginning to show circular lines compared to rear ones which have none. Stock MB brake pad issue?

Yep, even if we use stock brake pads.

Correct me if I am wrong, I realised that MB brake pads generate lots of brake dust. Meaning there are more metallic properties, thus faster wear to the rotors. My mechanic recommend changing rotors around 30,000 km (depending on usage). He does not recommend skimming the rotors though. The original stock rotors should be matt when brand new.

curious.. can u claim warranty for brake/rotor, even though it is supposingly wear/tear?

Both are wear and tear items.....I wished too.....

thanks barney.

that means there is no need to go back c&c (as carrot soup) cos there is no warranty for those items right?

if we changed outside and use back the stock parts, warranty won't be voided right?

Yep, as long as stock parts are used.

there is no need to change rotor/pad until the minimum wear indicator is reached..

eg. u travel mostly highway throughout that 30k km vs another guy travel in city throughout that 30k. the latter guy's rotor & brakes will wear out faster.

i'm not familiar with merc's minimum number though.. not sure if there is any sensor that will issue a warning on the console?

Of course bro, it will depend on usage. The recd mileage is just a recommendation. :D

60K depends on what you do. Previously I did my 65K on my E200K and change

1) ATF

2) Coolant

3) Spark Plugs

4) Engine servicing

5) Aircon servicing

All in around $900++. All parts included. This is at StarBlack.

My brother did his 60K just last week.. starblack, normal servicing $300 + -

But StarBlack ask him to change the brake pad + rotor and some seals.. pipes and stuffs.. I think around additional $1,800.

i am about to go for my 30k servicing.. was wondering how much is it

and should i go back to CnC.. any advice ?

You have to go back to C & C if you are under warranty. But you can choose to do just the basic servicing (oil change) which is about $3xx only.
