Car sent to C&C for repair

I drive the facelifted C180K. I called my SA to complain on some faults and requested for a replacement car during the entire period my car was in. He told me he'll reserve one for me and call me as soon as it was available. When I sent my car in, they loaned me a green E250. This happened last November at the Eunos service center. I think it largely depends on the availability of the replacement cars and the reason you sent your car in. My SA informed me the entire service center only has two replacement cars available.

You are so lucky! You drive a C-class and ended up with a E-class :music: In my case, I sent in my E-class and ended up with nothing

Yup. Got to sample how it's like to live with an E-Class for a day! Fantastic experience. I was actually expecting an A-Class or maybe a mitsubishi since they're also under C&C. But like I said, probably depends on the reason you sent your car in, and maybe more importantly, how you "complain" to the SA. I pushed my case all the way up to his superiors before they gave in and offered me a temporary replacement. Doubt they'll loan me one when I go in for my 15K servicing!

Could you accompany me when I send in my car for repair next time? :becky:

I don't think they will provide any replacement car or normal services

Haha. Other then servicing, I don't think you want to send your car in to C&C for any other reason!

  • 6 months later...

No taxi voucher or free car use for my last repair.

If repair is major, car use is covered by insurance, which is normally a cheaper Jap car like Altis or Lancer. Only Chartis covers free car use with a Mercs. Not sure if still same package.

I drive a C Class so I think I'm very low in the pecking order... Definitely no replacement car for me!

I drove a pre-facelift C class abt 2 years back .. bought used so no SA. Explained to customer service daily need to travel100km , so got replacement C class when car was in for 3-day repair of aircon compressor and faulty side signal light.

Always subject to availability. Good to request for courtesy car Much earlier before sending in for warranty claims.

I sent my W212 E200 back for some electronics failure. Fuel gauge not working, airbag warning lights, no signal lights etc. Turned out to be a electronic control unit that needed to be replaced.

It happened the night before I was due to fly out to Germany for work. Went to C&C early Sat morning, car was deemed to be not roadworthy and had to be left there until Tue-Wed. Needless to say, I wasn't a happy customer as my wife needed the car for school runs on Mon and I only had 3 hours before I needed to get to the airport for my flight.

Initially, the service advisor said that they do not provide courtesy cars. I asked to speak to the manager - they told me management is not contactable on Saturdays. WTH?? Finally, after pushing and pushing, I finally managed to speak to the workshop manager and he agreed that courtesy car will be sent to my wife on Monday. THey sent a W212 E250 for us to use for 3 days while mine was being fixed under warranty.
