No alert when car door not closed properly?

Hi,

Today I had an experience that the passenger door was not closed properly without my knowledge but I was able to lock the car and walked off. Only realised when I retrieved the car and drive off, then there was audio alert.

Shouldn't there be audio alert if I try to lock car when a door is not closed properly?

I believe the signal lights won't flash when one of the doors isn't closed tight. Usually we'll just walk away without noticing if the hazard light flashes.

Alternatively, you can turn on the "honk" sound for lock and unlock. I also believe the car will only "honk" if all doors are closed properly. There won't be any "honk" or flashing of hazard lights if the doors aren't closed properly.

Yes, u r right. I noticed the hazard lights did not flash but I din know that was an indication that one of the doors was not closed properly. Now I will take note.

But kind of strange we can't set an audio alert if we walked off without closing all the doors properly.

Yes. Will only "honk" when all doors are closed properly. Was advised to keep that feature on so that such will not happened. Helped me a few times already. Always tell my passengers to close them hard! The car wun feel pain. :D

You can turn the "honk" sound on. That'll be your audio alert.
