windscreen wipers jerking effecting

Recommended Posts

My issue was also due to the wax buildup on screen. Had my groomer polish it off for me (don't ask me how or what he did, I just left my car there). Suspect due to the washing solution C&C adds to the wiper water. After flushing the wiper water tank and adding plain water, juddering hasn't been back since. That was more than 2 years ago.

Changing wiper dont neccessary solve the item but strangely and somehow, afew still recommend a change and people actually go change it.

Need to get to e root of e problem and settle it... but not by changing wiper.

Read abit more, research abit more and the facts are there i.e. changing wiper regardless of brand is not the solution.

Try out sensible solutions others have adopted before keep changing wiper of various brands or whatever windscreen water repellant.

I did a simple procedure to resolve the issue (posted in forum months ago) and since then (8 mths has passed) the problem never returned. Wiper is still the same pair that came with the car.

Note: I did not do any form of polish with any sandpaper or polish machine

Juddering also happen in my A250. CNC cant solve it . I used just plain water , it works . Never pour Mercedes Windscreen Solution into wiper container , this will cause judder and Mercedes never agreed including the Clinc

Hi Guys,

I recommend the most basic solution. Soap (those that use to wash dishes), water and a clean micro-fibre cloth. Wipe the windscreen in circular motion with some force and for at least 10 to 20 seconds. Then clean the wiper (the part where the rubber touches the windscreen) gently.

It's all about maintenance. Do it weekly depending on how much you drive.

Thank you.

Mine experience the jerking effect towards the end of wipe in light rain and at time heavy downpour.

I will try MAMA lemon and see if it works. Many said change wipers but after reading the threads, don't think it is the wiper problem.

Bro & sis. I encountered judder also. I used a 3m sand paper sponge together with Mercedes free clear window solution. The effect was great. It can last a few rains before the judder will cm back. So nw irregadless if it rains, I just regularly polish the windscreen with 3m sand paper sponge every sat when I was my car.
