Want to have a peace of mind in any part of M'sia (even the deepest basement carpark) & have an eye watching over your beloved car literally from above?

I have spoken about this some years ago in this forum & others about my experience with all my cars with this device for more than 8 years. Some of my buddies here have fitted it with no regrets. This device can be carried over to your new cars.

We had a 10 car CRV convoy to Penang and took a ferry back to main land. It was such great fun!

on it since 2008. A piece of mind and some hope in recovering it at least.

i drove to Thailand in my previous jap car.. since this thread is about driving to malaysia.. can i just ask if anyone has drive to Thailand with a SG registered 3-pointed star?

I know a guy who drove up to Bangkok and eventually to Pattaya in his W126, and another 2 guys who drove up to Cambodia with their W124 wagons.

Driving in Thailand with SG plate no issue, but you have to buy the thai insurance, which I think is available at the border crossing in Hatyai. Apparently the crossing is only open from 0600-1800, so have to time your drive up.

There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

Do you all get the monthly EC package as well?

Or use mobile Internet can get the car location

Nope, no Internet required...just a phone call to the call centre. Sit back & relax.....the call centre will coordinate with the police in the recovery of your stolen vehicle.

What's EC?

Let me explain how this thing work again..

scenario 1... arrive at KL Sunway. Make a call to call center with password. The call center will confirm the car's location without you revealing it so as show that the tracking is working. Next...u tell them that u want the car watched overnite till the next day. If the car is moved away from this locked position ( like being towed or driven away) the call center will call u to check whether its u driving. If its really stolen...tracking starts & police is called by call center.

Scenario 2....kena car jacked at knife point in petrol kiosk in JB. Just give him the keys....no need to be hero. Call the call center & tell them the problem. Car track begins & police coordination all done by them.

Scenario 3.... Car breaks down in some ulu location in M'sia. Need tow truck or assistance but have no idea who & how. Just call the call center & tell them the problem. Car tracking begins & help on the way.

Btw, even if the car batt is disconnected,...there's a back up batt. Both tracking device & backup batt are secretly installed in a location where even you won't know where. This is to minimize car thieves knowledge in locating it....

Solar bro....check my post #63 scenario 3. Yes, they will help u if it involves the car. If kena robbed in shopping mall or supermarket, think u shd call polis directly.

the most impt qest......

how much.......?

Give them a call to check. It's a small amt compared to the value of the car....& it's an added insurance for a small peace of mind.

Car track Singapore tried to work with the Ins companies here but strangely the response by them was rather luke warm. Apparently only NTUC has given some serious input into this....that was last year. I have no updated info so far.
