regarding light weight crankpulleys.. some additional readings for you guys to explore..

http://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/286378-automotivedezignz-brand-new-light-weight-power-pulley-w204-v6-v8-2.html

highlighted quote:

1) if just the weight is lightened, expect no improvement, as crank and fw/TC inertia will dominate.

2a) if underdriven, then max power will be in 1st gear, where highest acceleration of pulley and driven parts occurs, now with less acceleration.

2b) if underdriven, a slight improvement in steady state power at higher revs will be due to less power absorbed by driven devices, assuming each device has a constant resistive torque.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

From what I understand that aftermarket light weight crank pulley can cause related connecting engine components to give way over long term as it is not designed to work compatibly with other engine parts. Unless you upgrade rest the parts as well. Technical explanation I have no idea, just read it somewhere previously.
