Engine ON during Refueling

Not bad not bad.... Don be like some idiot who smoke while refilling

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

Actually, scientifically, mechanically, logically, there is no reason why a car cannot be refuelled with the engine running. It is not great for health and environment, but it wouldn't be more of a hazard than if the ignition was switched off.

This practice is called hot refuelling. You see it often for racing cars. Some of the endurance racing cars are nothing more than strengthened road cars.  I've seen low budget teams refuelling with regular petrol station nozzles.

Not totally right either. Hot refueling in racing is done under strict safety conditions. The refueler wears fire proof suit for a reason. We have seen many fire incidents in pit stops while refulleing.

True but the fires would not have been prevented even if the engine was switched off, which is what's being discussed here.

Pit fuel fires are almost always cause by faulty fuel delivery equipment plus human error. The flow rate seen in racing application is far higher than the average station nozzle.

In Bangkok,
most of the car doesn't turn off their engine while refuelling too .
Infact, u doesn't even need to get down the car at all. Even up tire pressure they will do it on the spot for u. Deliver water to u and collect money from u at your driver window.
