w211 screen - "hold" - newly discovered feature!

i noticed this msg immediately after picking my car after getting its engine and trans mount changed. it disappeared aftera a few minutes so i ignored it. lately, this msg isappearing just after i switch on the engine. does anyone know what this means?

im worried it means something serious.

I have this feature! All you need to do is depress the brakes further until hold appears and then the brakes are automatically applied.

Fantastic feature! I wonder how many peepe actually realise this exists. Very useful for lights.

You can either step on the throttle or brake pedal.

One feature i now missed most.. :(

Try buying another Audi - just pressed one button - engage and disengage automatically.

if the brake pedal doesn't engage anymore, then you need to change this tiny plastic in the brake pedal.

before that, were there any ESP warnings? cruise control/distronic still working?

if this plastic fails, few other things goes too.

$40 part only.

thanks for your reply. There is no warning sign and cruise control is working. BTW, mine is a W204 FL.

Where can I go check and replace the plastic thingy?
