Who has door handle ambient lights in W211?

I've read that some W211 comes with ambient lighting in the door handles. Do singapore models have these and has anyone tried to retrofit them at all?

May be a cheap easy mod...

Huh? I thought all W211 have? The light is damn dim. You have to be in complete darkness to notice them.

I drive a W211 and I can confirm that they are there. So are the two light circles on top, four footwell lights, four door handle lights.

Maybe it's trim dependent. Is yours avantgarde or elegance? My elegance doesn't have it and no holes around it for bulbs either.

FL W204 Avantgarde will surely have ambience light at the door handles. All of them come with it.

These light intensity is dependent on the dimmer setting if I am not wrong. Turn the dimmer to bright and you should see the lights clearer.

I just got my E250 Avantgarde... yes there is ambience light...

W211 Elegance Facelift '07. There is no hole. I am guessing slit or something. Really really well designed. Useful in dark areas.

Actually, on much closer inspection and in complete darkness, I've noticed that my elegance does have these door handle lights. They come from the top of the handle and shine downwards and come out from a narrow slit like bbwannabe said.

They are a little dark and even when adjusting the ambient lighting to 5, they don't really get brighter.
