Anyone using Samsung S3

I'm interested to know of the S3 can connect comand on line with it?? eg. Web/internet connection. I know iPhone cannot.

Androids do not come with DUN function as standard. However, you can download the software from the Android store to add-on the DUN function. If can wait, I read that Mercedes is updating their Comand software to support the iPhone's bluetooth tethering sometime later this year.

My car doesn't come with command. Can its sync contacts? Was looking at the S3. If it can't sync, then will wait for the new iPhone. Thanks Mark

I'm using S2, syncs fine.

But names get all jumbled up. Like "boon tong kee" becomes "kee boon" on command.

Also seems to have problems if contacts have multiple numbers.

I end up just punching numbers in from the keypad and call.

I'm on S3 now. Works like a charm. U need to pair the S3 again with your comand before it will sync. I believe once it's sync, you can then have internet, web, emails. Etc with your comand.

IPhone is good, no doubt. But that's because u have not tried the S3 yet! Haha

I think I will wait for the new iPhone. Though current iPhone is already a bit cranky and slow.....tried the S3 interface and feels it need some getting used to. But damn, loved the huge screen and fast processor.

i am having difficulty in paring the bluetooth . mine is the normal audio 20… damn

any guys have this issue ? is it the car or the phone man.

my other cars no issue lei .. strange.

ok issue solved. Just dont use the update list, click others then the phone will be recognized . Now bluetooth for phone works well, even audio.

Alas, the BT has gone crazy liao…. now the BT auto dial to my own number… yes to myself. how the heck can it happen. Among so many numbers how come will choose to dial my own number lei ??

i have tried to re pair and everytime it does that now. once in car, audio cut off, the headset willl dial my mobile number and silent… no ring tone nothing. spooky man. haha

btw, i am using S3. all along was working well. strange… No issues with note,iphone. only the s3. It was working perfect before. Gurus … help !!!!

Weird! The same thing happened to me these few days. Now I need to dail a number then quickly hang it up before the system go back to normal!

It happened when i am back from a overseas trip. Car was untouched in Singapore for 3 days.

Can someone help me. My new Samsung S3 can syn contacts with my W212 (audio 2.0) but when i try to dial out, the audio is very muffled. Strangely, incoming call through MB bluetooth is fine with the audio.

 

tried to re-authorize many time still the same problem. No such problem with iphone and LG.

 

My S3 running on Android 4.1.1. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Blackmercs with 7549 posts is in 5th gear. Why snsd555 with 1006posting is in reverse gear? how does this gear thingy works here???
