Motion detector camera

My BlackVue DR400G has motion detector in parking mode. Just buy an install a DVR which comes with such function, there are tons in the market.

I read good reviews about this product. Does it use up much of the car battery?

Took my technician 30mins. However, with this particular BlackVue model, do be warned that there are some overheating issues. Best to Google for reviews as there are many similar, cheaper or more expensive alternatives out there. I got mine because a group buy was done in the forum and price was cheaper.

Yup, mine has been serving me well. I guess it deters people away from messing with your car.

My DR400 still working great. Guess with all other IT products, "heng sway" plays a part!

Today I checked with a Audio shop guy and he told me that if I want to get (4 camera type) will cost me $1K+ with installation. Is the price reasonable?

All angle being covered for 4 pcs!! What if whoever comes from the top? If yr ride come with panaroof adding one more pce will complete the all round protection of yr car.

One reasonable DVR can set you back roughly $200+ already, needless to say that you're looking at 4 cameras. Is that necessary?

Reckon it's necessary if you wanna try to identify the culprit who had done something to your car from different angles other than the front.

My only is concern is if someone breaks into the car and the DVR gets stolen. Is the SD Card in the DVR too or is it hidden somewhere else?

For most cases, a front and a rear is more than sufficient, however in the end its still up to each individual. I personally won't want so many cameras in the car as I find it an eyesore. For portable DVR, the SD card is inserted into the device. If it's stolen, so is the SD card. Unless you're looking at those high end security systems, provide live video feed online + GPS tracker etc. which will cost an arm and a leg.

Spray already and got scratched again? Pissed someone off? Probably can get better cameras for front and rear, and cheaper ones for the side to lower the cost.
