Alignment after tyre change

Zack

Recommended Posts

I changed my two front tyres, rotated them to the rear and adjusted the tyre pressure accordingly. Current: front old db decibel, rear new ps3. After the tyre change, when going at 90km/h on a straight road, the car remains straight when i let go of the steering wheel but that the steering wheel tilts abit to the right. Will it be back to normal after running in the tyres? Any experts can advise on this?

I think my case is similar to bro hayato who also changed to ps3..

Monitor after 500km when your tyres scrub in. But it's pretty weird in your case.

Bro Zack, change your front tyres to new PS3 also...guaranteed problem solved. My advice, never mix different brand of tyres, & always put new tyres to the front. Your old DB has long been run in according to the rear set up, thus tend to give some alignment issues to the front.

Thks for pointing this out....but placing new tyres to the rear as a normal practice applies to all four tyres being equal...ie same speed rating, same load rating etc.

This is taken from your link...

Replacing two tires: When only two new tires are purchased, they should be installed on the rear axle, as long as the new tires have a speed rating equal to or greater than the speed rating as compared to the front tires.

guys, i was wondering if there is a set of factory camber / toe setting that C&C mech will abide by? i wonder if outside workshop will know this or not... anyone with w204 who did their alignment with C&C can scan & share the alignment result slip (if any)? So can go benchmark if we do it outside. :)

No alignment report given to me. They replace some camber bolts on my car with a greater adjustment angle, so to speak as told by e SA.

Original parts used and FOC since under warranty. Stock rims. Veering left resolved.

Btw, wanna say hi to bro Sj*8181* that day at eunos. Nice tattoos on ur arms. Seems like u went there for alignment issue too but I guess u did not rectify n went off. Hope e SA din bullshit u to say it's normal blahblahblah...
