Audio 20 can't turn on

Recommended Posts

My C200 battery was faulty yesterday and after changing to a new battery, my audio 20 is not working. I pressed the ON button on the turn device on/off but no power or sound at all. Does anyone face this problem before? Pls help. Thanks.

Does the screen still show the time on the top left corner? Try pressing onto the ON button for a few seconds and see if it restarts the system?

No light or power on the screen at all. I tried pressing on the ON button for few seconds but still doesn't work. On the deskboard display, the word " Audio ......pls wait" appeared or 1 min then "Audio_ _ _ _ _".

Keep us inform!

Great to know what's the actual problem if it's more than a blown fuse or loose connections!

I m sure our site sponsor camber53 can assist or ricric_lo if he's in town.

IMHO not likely a blown fuse issue cos you will not have anything on your display.

Maybe doing a hard reset to Audio 20 might bring it alive again.

If it's conked, then will be a good excuse or reason to upgrade to COMAND.....hehehe!:)

Cheers

Unker, you are very accurate. I have it checked by my audit installer and he suspected the HU was faulty. He suggested that I double confirm with the diagnostic computer. Which Comand model u recommend to replace Audio 20 and the price? Thanks.

For Comand, you don't get to choose which system to install, the system chooses your ride. Pre-facelift W204 will be the NTG4 system, and facelift W204 will be the NTG4.5. You can enquire with either of our site sponsor Ricky aka ricric_lo, or camber53. I personally did mine with Ricky.

Bro just give me a ring @ 96680053 I will be more than happy to help you test your unit if i can bring him back to life ...

My Audio 20 is alive again. The fault was probably due to internal shorting causing burnt marks on the input power cable and the fuse in the HU was blown. Good job Camber! Thanks.

This is a testimonial that camber53 solved your problem without pushing you to upgrade to COMAND!
