Hey bro, both are nice cars, if speed and torque is what u are looking for, A4 is a better choice. Especially If u just do a stage 1 like MTM or ABT. But reliability is a big issue, the MU. For MB, you are looking at a very classy ride with better reliability.

If everything is equal, the A4 will be faster at the traffic light. If long distance, the MB wins hands down, bigger lungs. V6...

Thanks for the info. I am looking for pick up power.I was thinking C230 with horsepower of 201bhp will have a better pickup of A4 1.8T with 160bhp.

For pick-up, torque and weight of the car is a better determinant. For example, a twin-charged Golf sport has only 160 bhp and 240nm torque, but from 0-80, it only needs 5.6 secs. But 8secs for 0-100. The car is light, has initial sprint but no stamina.

Maybe can page Bro Chershen for firsthand inputs, he was driving the A4 previously.

I can appreciate fast cars, but in the SG context, the number of traffic stops will mean you only get to the traffic lights first and wait longer. what's the point?

(unless you get gems like the IS-F, M3 or C63, where you can just mow it down to the first few gears and listen to the V8s rev, esp inside the KPE. Not that I've done it. )

Yah, I am trying to narrow down my search. I would prefer a car with a pickup of 0-100 at 6 sec but again depending on budget. Was looking at C200,A4 1.8T,A4 2.0T.
