Now that's an interesting question. I looked at the following:

BMW 320 ($109k)

Audi A4 ($132k)

Passat CC ((112k)

Jetta, the GLI version (80k)

Skoda Superb ($99k)

Volvo S60 ($109k)

For a moment, also thought of splurging a bit more and getting:

Audi A6 (100th anniversary package at $153k)

BMW 520 ( M line series at $151k)

Anyway, I settled for the C200 because I've heard so much about the reliability of a Merc so I thought I'll give it a try.... I'll tell you guys in 5 years if I made the right choice :-)

I can tell you now that it is indeed reliable, at least for my W203. Mine is 5.5 years, 152000 km, so a W204 will be better.

hmm... probably that was at a time when COE was lower and without the M kit (not sure).

I was just checking with my SE and according to her, the price of the C200 has gone up by almost 10k over the past month as well.

bro, not trying to be rude ah, but sometimes, the cars along with the mods, bodykits, stickers etc that we drive can also attract additional attention ;D

juz to give you an example, a fren of mine who drives a getz, complete with stickers, bodykits and a pretty darn loud remus exhaust....even porsche also jio him...let alone evos and wrxs ;D

i for one, is staying from BMW for now becos of their crappy aftersales service even tho i really like some of their cars.
