Im getting around 300 to 350km per full tank. 80% city driving though so that may account for the low fuel mileage. Further more my transmission is about to konk off. Id greatly appreciate any other tips to improve my FC!

HI Guys,

how much to spend for overhaul? My workshop told me he too busy to do it, so have to outsource it to someone else. Heard good review about Topspeed, but what is their prices like? Mine auto-trans is working good, just that it will jerk slightly when changing gears, and slow pick up. Full tank about 420km on Shell 98.

Hi guys... Im new here; first post

:)

My full tank gets me about 600-620 on Singapore roads before I top up another full tank of gas (60% highway, 40% streets)

Did a drive up to Kuantan on the Mersing trunk road once on a full tank of gas and drove till my tank went completely empty; 672km (did it on purpose to see how far my car can go)

Driving on 16inch rims currently (when I drove on my 18" I got about 640 till tank went dry)

8V 1991 200E, 2 pax, not that light footed :)

Cheers

Amin

Mine is a 1992 200E but face-lifted to E200. FC is about 9.5-10.1 km/litre. My following driving patterns are as follows:

a. 80% expressway, 20% city driving

b. Auto with gear switch at "E"

c. Light-medium footed *hovering between 80-100km/h max for S'pore expressways*

d. 8V

e. Goodyear Hybrid II tyres 215/45 R17

f. Aircon [email protected] or 2 *usually no.2 is sufficient for fast cabin-cooling effect*

g. 80% of the time myself driving only, 15% driving with wife & 5% with wife & wife's parents as rear passengers on weekends

h. No heavy loads in the car boot

i. Max.mileage tested before deciding to pump@station was 608km. Haven't tested or stretched my MB to 672km or above. *For the record, I should try it out one of these days*

j. Current petrol grade is 98 *how is 95 in terms of FC & power?? Can anyone tell me? Maybe I should start using 95 if oil prices continue to climb relentlessly*

Anyone tried adding additive to your fuel? My ex ride (91 model) have better fuel consumption after adding a malaysian product. It's derived from palm oil. Giving a smoother engine. I stopped using bec I was given free 6 bottles (50/50 city / highway)
