1st Time Merc E220D Self imported

After months of running around, and many cases of near heart attack, I am finally registering my self imported brand new E220D W213 next week.

Lots of running around, but learning a lot along the way. I bought an ex stock car in the UK, and the process had taken me 3.5 months. From ordering, to next week registration. Danced with vendors, shippers, customs, NEA, LTA, VICOM, etc etc. Am really glad this is a once in 10 year event!

Now learning about how to maintain the car. Just learnt today that I need low ash grade engine oil so as not to kill the particulate filter. The Mobile 1, Helix etc sold at the supermarket don't cut it. And the oil filter is brand new. Hence no OEM versions, and I have to indent the original Mercedes oil filters. I will need ADBlue, but that is now easily available in Singapore.

Excited. Can't wait to start driving it. I had been a Honda Odyssey driver for 15 years, and can now go back to sedans now that the kids have grown up. The eldest is now fighting for the use of the car.
