Some years back, I wanted to retrofit Rear Seats Entertaintment, they came back with grandmother stories and later Ah Long prices.

I sent them my parents regards and they LL got the Technical Manager to speak to me.

After retrofitting my ride which was the 1st they did, rest becomes history and from that day onwards CnC do retrofitting of RSE.

It good to know some people there and it can be helpful at times!

I am lucky enough to get him today. Keke

Oh, Tommy!

I think it is see luck one. I managed to get 1 on 1 with him and I asked him a million questions during the 1 hour session.

If what you said is true, I would probably siam the non-German session.

P.S.: He tells me that he and one German colleague service the entire ASIA region. Nearly impossible to get him usually.

I always sent my car to CnC but this year I was totally put off. I took me 3 calls plus tai chi here and there just to know how much to change brake pads and rotor. Then I contact to Chip Soon, call get the price then go there within less than 2 hours I drive with new set of brake pads and rotor, and a happy customer. So for my 60k service I also went to Chip Soon.....service clinic mailer sent to me goes to rubbish bin!

This service clinic is not a car servicing process. The Flying doctors, usually specialist from Dalmier came to singapore to conduct a check on the health status of your car. They also analyse your performance of the car as well.

It just marketing ploy, I am sorry I don't believe this kind superior complex issue being inspected by German technician. If Local agent service is good local senior service man should be as good their German counter part. If not it's major failure in their training system, or the local service guys working there are clowns.

Disclaimer: this is just my personal opinion not to flame anyone. It's your moolah and I don't have any authority to tell anyone on how to spent their hard earned moolah.

For those who are keen, the part that is not moving smoothly (thus all the noise) is the one below in the pic above (round item, known as the pulley guide).  Normally, one will also change the v-belt and the tensioner.

Cheers!

Tommy Hart identified three problems for my car:

1. Suspension: front left camber ball joint worn

2. Steering couplings/linkages: right front drop link ball joint split

3. Exhaust camshaft solenoig slightly leaking

I changed all at Technics Automotive at Sin Ming:

1. Front control arm assmbly - $396 a pair

2. Front stabilizer link - $96 a pair

3. Camshaft adjustment with O- ring - $122

4. Front control arm bush - $90 a pair

5. Wheel alignment - $60

6. Labour - $80

Yeah...did not go back to CnC.

The boss is reasonable. And his charge for each item is about the same when you bought from Goldenlink... Surprisingly. What's more, he is patient.
