my new car is drifting to the right when my steering is in neutral position, should i tell my SA about it?

thanks

It has something to do with one of the following:

- uneven air pressure of L/R tyre OR

- uneven tyre wear of L/R tyre OR

- wheel alignment is out OR

- other forumers may include...

IMO, yea why not tell ur SA about it.

We got a first case of out of alignment to the right side. Is not normal, yes, do inform your SA about it.

Little vibration felt on steering wheel, like I can feel the road surface. Is it normal? Had the wheel balanced as told by mechanic the cause is unbalanced wheel . After which I still had a bit of feedback.

i don't think it is normal, should reflect to them again that the problem is persisting

Happened during certain RPM is it?

Hi,

It happens to my car too. Just only slightly.

When I drive the car upto 110kmh, I can feel vibrations on the steering wheel. Is it normal?

Might be tyre (harden, uneven). try wheel balancing 1st. (something because of rim)

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi,

I tried balancing. No joy. Now thinking of alignment.

However I do hear that run flat tyre so tend to had little vibration due to its harder side wall.

Is it true?

Swap tyre with your friend and test it again, Chances are more higher.

Are you one of those guys who carries your SO's handbags?

Did you, by any chance, hang her handbag on the right side of the steering wheel?

That can cause the car to veer to the right.

Wait a minute.  You are one of those who hangs out the right hand holding a lighted cigarette (and eventually letting it drop, ever so gently, to the road)? Your left hand on top of the steering wheel is putting pressure towards the right.  Now hold the steering wheel with both hands!

But seriously, heck, how are we to know? There are a thousand and one likely reason including uneven tyre wear, suspension degradation, wheel alignment, etc.

What's SA?  Service Adviser?  Stylo-mylo term for a guy who takes down details and then passes your car to the mechanic inside?  Just go ask a competent mechanic to fix it.

It's TGIF.  Enjoy the hazy weekend ahead.     :)
