Unable to start car

Hi all ... mine W204 Pre F/L.

 

Last night went back office to finish some work. Just after finish work, key able to unlock car but unable to start car. No "steering lock" unlocking sound.

Bo pian... take bus home...

 

 ....Done a search in this forum abt "green key" issue.. tot mine also same.

 

Morning send my kid to childcare, brought another spare car key with me just to check if really some major problem with steering lock. 

 

Reached office, use spare key ... and able to start. Confirm car key spoilt.

 

Just check, anyway to repair / reprogram the spoilt key? Or I need to buy?

Did u replace it with a new battery and test it?

Blackmerc : Yes, battery replaced ($3.50 for 2pcs). Thought it was battery weak at first.

 

Odessus : I done a few times, still unsuccessful.

Probably car key spoilt. Better seek alternative opinion from agent to be sure.
