i had a clk 200 cab for few months

the soft top stopped working and I had to got it fix

there are 9 cylinders that drives the hydraulic of the mechanism

any one is gone/ leak is about time to change

changing the cylinder is expensive

can google on the merc clk soft top or visit other mb forum

is common

other than that is usual wear and tear as per c and e class

as the clk is based on the c class platform and share engine and gearbox.

I paid 1.6k for repair. not all the cylinders were changed, the faulty one were changed

if the faulty one is gave way, I was afraid the others might gave way soon. I might be wrong

the car was good, responsive. no frills

I sold the car as I had an offer close to my purchase price and my wife didn't like the car

so I just moved on

The parts I changed out are like the under carriage link arms due to bushing crack. These cost about $1400.

The engine mounting and transmission mounting as well. These are around 500-600. Cannot really remember though.

Other than that, the car is running well. Do note that I am driving the V6 so not sure if it is the same as CLK200 though.

AXA has a rider that covers soft tops, up to 5k. Check the rubber seals between the roof and car to see if it's cracked or dry. If yes, you may have leaks. Check the canvas for tears or fray. AXA covers the soft top replacement too.
