Yup....agreed with you that Goldenlink has different prices at different branches. Some differences can be quite a fair bit.

purchase 6 original spark plugs from Goldenlink last friday

when to change at my workshop, car starts to jump like a horse !

seow leow !, thought my mechanic cannot swim :(

then no choice, put back old spark plugs and everything back to normal

upon checking, seems like new purchased spark plug looks older then my used one ( the wordings looks faded)

will need to go back goldenlink to ask them :(

Is that Borsh platinum spark plugs?

I dunno if it is platinium spark plugs or not

I just given them my VIN number and I say I want original merc spark plugs for my model

On it got printed with merc logo some more

I went down yesterday to tell them about it

they start to tell me if my ignition coil got problem or not lah, my workshop can swim or not

I was quite pissed, I told them that my workshop service my cars for donkey years and they have done plenty of merc

I told them that when swapping back to the old spark plugs, no more misfiring :(

they then say cannot refund me now, they will send the spark plugs back to their supplier in germany to test and let me know the result in 3 month time - KNN ! WTF

Any bros got this kind of experiences before or not, meaning to say, fixed new spark plugs and misfired ?

Bro.....in Nov last year, i was driving my car at about 70-80 kmh when i wanted to overtake. Stepped on the accelerator and then engine lost power and started vibrating. stopped at traffic light and it was vibrating like a lorry. Got it towed back to Pandan and they said it's Spark Plug No 3/4 which misfired and replaced just that spark plug. No issue for 3 months then in Feb this year, while driving on NSH at about 1*0kmh, engine lost power again but didnt vibrate as badly. Pulled to the side, rested 10 mins then drove back to SG. Brought it back to C&C Eunos, say no problem detected and didn't show anything in their diagnostics test.

Since they say will send to their supplier in Germany, make sure you have black & white and get them to furnish you the test report from the lab. Hold them to their words. More often than not, just trying to pull a fast one on you. The shipping cost already quite substantial i believe. Meanwhile, maybe can buy another set of originals or get diagnostics done also? Just my 2 cents worth.

Now no choice but to wait for their answer and they told me will have diagnostic report

What pissed me off is that they blame everything except the brand new spark plugs fault, cannot have QC failure meh :(

Infact my current spark plugs still in good conditions, was thinking since servicing, just change them, but who knows kena tiok lemon plugs ! bloody hell

If 3rd party one which cost 1/3 of the original price, I will just throw into the longkang !

but buying original one which cost 3 time more does not guaranteed ok, damn TL :(

hiaz, first time in my years of driving that I encounter this kind of issues.

I have encounter the same, while I was driving on the road,  suddenly the engine lost power, and have to drive to the road shoulder. Stop the engine and restart the engine again but the engine has not power.

It was after about 5-7 min later, I decided to restart the car and every thing started normal. Send the car immediately to C&C did a diagnostic check and result as normal.

In fact I have experience it 3 times (last 2.5 years of driving) and every time have to stop on the road side and restart the car again after 5 min.

Ya gets kindda tiring when as owners we encounter problems and they fail to detect anything.

When we send in for servicing, C&C will say change this and that because it's scheduled to change (preventive measures) and blah blah blah (eg. brake pads/discs when they are still in good condition). But when we highlight a fault, they make us drive and pinpoint the problem. If problem dont occur, they say sorry cant do anything......if only they could use their 'preventive' mindset and just change certain parts associated with the problems.
