Hello fellow Merc-ian, good morning!!

Am collecting my new car soon from C&C. Apart from checking (where visually possible) that the specs are in indeed as stated in the PO, am wondering what else I should be doing. A tyre shop owner taught me 3-4 days ago how to read the size and year the tyre was manufactured in. And a little about the costs & quality for different manufacturers.

Will very much appreciate it if you can share with me what I should look out for at time of the delivery. My very first time doing this (yes, am a virgin in this area), as you can probably tell from my earlier "contributions"...

Thanks in advance & enjoy the long weekend!

Best

Read the manual or download online. Check all the lighting and dents.

Besides all that you have noted,

1. Get into your driver seat.

2. Adjust the seat to your setting; save to memory.

3. Adjust your side and rear mirrors.

4. Start the engine; listen to the soft purr...

5. Take a deep breath and enjoy your new car smell.

6. Grin from ear to ear.

7. Drive off.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Just do visual check and if any issue w the car can go back to Cnc. Now got lemon law. :D

Check both sides of the arrow shape LED on the headlamp. Make sure they are even in terms of brightness. True experience here. My E coupe have one side brighter than the other side and its very obvious. I only realise it after 4 months. Luckily it's an agent car and CnC change it without questions ask.

Darksaint - thanks. Read about the lemon law and hopefully doesnt need to go there. When the law & lawyers are involved, unlikely to be an enjoyable experience. Honestly, I would rather not take delivery on that day if flaws / defects can be detected that day from visual etc inspection. Trying not to let the excitement and adrenaline get the better of me and forget about all the advice I am getting here.

Thanks Andlee. I am actually more concerned with the locally assembled parts that those from the factory. My experience - its when you take factory assembled product apart and reassembled them that issues start to surface. Does your car come with the locally assembled reverse camera? Any issue?

Blackmerc - the online manual says for US and Canada market. Cant seem to locate one for Asia or Singapore. Are they all the same? Asked the salesman from CnC and he said it will come with the car and be accessible on the display panel of the car - in other words, read it when you get the car
