Help needed for buying used 2010 E250 CGI Coupe!

Hi guys, i would be buying a preowned 2010 E250 CGI Coupe. I would like to know if there are any common problems that i should look out for when i am viewing the cars.

 

Is it worth it to spend the extra 10k for E250 instead of E200? I notice both are 1.8 turbo, so i reckon i might be able to chip the e200 to match the e250 easily?

IMHO if easily chip to match another level . on road there will be no need for high spec cars already

 

im driving the e-coupe and is really a nice car to drive. i like the car design with no pillars window , so far no big issue for me.

Is a 5g or 7g? Price will be differ so do more research before buying. 2010 likely a 5g model.

Bro, don't say that! Lol! A lot of our cars have been tuned and dynoed! Not necessarily will match the output specs of the higher spec car, but close. Depends on the tuner and what has been tuned.

Bro, don't say that! Lol! A lot of our cars have been tuned and dynoed! Not necessarily will match the output specs of the higher spec car, but close. Depends on the tuner and what has been tuned.

E Coupe is a nice car, and so far no problems at all. If budget allow, get E250 and tune it up. You won't regret.

Seat belt extender - my passanger side sometimes does not extend.... but small problem IMO

Oh, and there are also aesthetics differences between 200 and 250 e.g. rear blinds... I haven't seen the inside of the e200 but u might want to check it out too.  Maybe not essential if u're looking for performance only but certainly nice to have

hi, jus to share my experience when i was purchasing a preowned e250 coupe. apparently, for the production line that came out between 2010 to 2011, there is a common turbo issue to the car. It is still drivable but you get some fair amt of white smoke. This can usually be resolved by changing the light turbo. Cost is not that ridiculous.

 

However, i am not the expert, the issue was higlighted to me by mechanics who know abt this car and i made sure to check on this when i sent the car to an independent workshop for assessment before purchase.

 

maybe someone who know more abt this topic can correct me if i am wrong.

I have driving the pre owned 2010 e250 coupe for the last one month plus...

No major problem except wear and tear that have been fixed. Enjoying the ride very much......

no regret!!
